As we continue to grow, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview:
The Lead Carpenter will oversee and execute various carpentry projects, ensuring high standards of craftsmanship and efficiency. This role involves supervising a team of carpenters, coordinating with other trades, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive carpentry experience, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Please do not apply if you have less than 3 years experience leading a team of Carpenters in the residential renovation field.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of carpenters and apprentices on construction and renovation projects.
- Interpret and execute blueprints, drawings, and specifications to meet project requirements.
- Perform rough and finish carpentry work, including framing, installing windows and doors, trim work, cabinetry, and other custom woodwork.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure seamless project execution.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized worksite, adhering to all safety regulations and best practices.
- Train and mentor junior carpenters and apprentices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and skill development.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or challenges that arise during construction.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Lead Carpenter or similar role in the construction industry for at least 3 years.
- Extensive knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Certification in carpentry or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
