Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee carpentry projects from start to finish, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. The Lead Carpenter will be responsible for coordinating tasks, managing a team of carpenters, and collaborating with other trades to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
Duties
- Supervise and lead a team of carpenters in various construction projects, ensuring all work meets quality standards.
- Read and interpret schematics and blueprints to accurately execute project plans.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for tasks such as framing, drywall installation, siding, tile laying, and masonry work.
- Perform heavy lifting as required during the construction process.
- Restore and repair existing structures while maintaining structural integrity.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean work environment.
- Train and mentor junior carpenters on best practices and techniques in carpentry work.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and other trades to ensure project timelines are met.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a carpenter, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
- Strong construction knowledge
- Ability to read and understand architectural drawings .
- Experience with both hand tools and power tools essential for carpentry tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong leadership abilities with effective communication skills to manage a team.
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods.
