Lechate Truck Driver
You are someone who is a dedicated class 1E driver to join the team at Crane Mountain Landfill. This is a union position with 40hrs/week. The rate of pay for this position is $26.92/hr plus $1/hr for night shift premium. Includes a comprehensive dental/medical, pension, vacation and sick benefit package.
What You’ll Do
- Operate Commission owned tractor and tanker.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on pumps, valves, piping and equipment associated with the leachate pump houses.
- Calibrate and maintenance of ultrasonic meters in the leachate sumps.
- Calibrate and programming of the Milltronics controls for the pump houses.
- Perform basic maintenance on trucks, i.e. following daily pre trip maintenance schedule, etc.
- Keep records of daily activities as required.
- Report any necessary repairs to Lead Hand/ Manager.
- Comply with all Department of Transportation regulations and drive in a safe and courteous manner.
- Comply with all Fundy Regional Service Commission health and safety, environmental, and employment policies.
- Participate in any required training programs.
- Work as a team player.
- Perform other duties that may be assigned, when not required as an Operator for the Commission owned tractor and tanker, including rock truck, dump truck and pay loader – roll off truck.
What You Bring
- Hold and Maintain a Class 1(E) motor vehicle operator’s license.
- Must provide a clean driver's abstract when requested.
- Availability to work rotating shifts, potentially involving all (7) days of the week according to service needs.
- Strong mechanical abilities.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
- Ability to wear any required personal protective equipment.
- Ability and willingness to work in a challenging environment.

Physical Abilities Required of the role:
