How this job works: The successful candidate will begin working in our North Vancouver office learning our sales systems and customer service routines. Your primary responsibility will be accepting and managing new leads by making and answering phone calls, replying to emails and texts, and developing contacts into amazing opportunities. To do this successfully you will need to be able to discuss yard maintenance competently, as well as ask and answer questions in a super clear and effective manner. As you are performing lead management, you will be expected to learn all of our company services and other business practices (job costing, marketing strategy, profit and loss reporting, etc). Typically period lasts 3-6 months depending on ability and pace of learning.
Once you have a firm grasp of our company services, as well as confident landscape knowledge base, your role will transition to outside sales. This will involve meeting potential customers at their property, providing expert advice and recommendations and getting them excited about starting projects in their garden together. This will involve garden design recommendations, functional problem solving (i.e. soil/drainage issues, pest management, etc), as well as helping manage ongoing maintenance and customer service. Every contract you sell earns a commission for you and builds a customer base that continues to generate revenue over the years.
As you establish yourself as a full time sales rep your day will involve typically meeting 3-5 customers per day, looking over their lawn and or garden, creating solutions and booking contracts. You will be provided with a company car, laptop/phone and ongoing training and support as you help us grow our company. West Coast Lawns & Gardens provides services 12 months per year so there is always sources revenue and commission for motivated estimators. We also have an extremely high customer satisfaction rating which will ensure you are selling service that our customers are excited about and love the results they get.

-2-5 years experience in landscape industry
-BC landscape plant knowledge (planting basics, maintenance dos and don’ts)
