We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Law Clerk with some experience in Family Law to join our legal team. Duties
- Conduct thorough legal research using resources such as LexisNexis to support case preparation.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs with precision and attention to detail.
- Assist in the organization and management of case files using iManage or similar systems.
- Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of case-related information.
- Conduct interviews with clients and witnesses as necessary to gather pertinent information.
- Proofread documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
- Manage projects related to case preparation, ensuring deadlines are met efficiently.
- Provide administrative support, including filing documents, answering phones, and maintaining office organization.
Skills
- Strong proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Proficient in legal research tools such as LexisNexis.
- Excellent project management capabilities to handle multiple cases simultaneously.
- Effective interviewing skills to extract relevant information from clients and witnesses.
- Familiarity with iManage or similar document management systems is preferred.
