What You’ll Do:
Responsible for daily flow management for store delivery in Transportation Management System (TMS) and external visibility tracking systems, including troubleshooting, contacting carriers for updates/validation, spot-checking load statuses and investigating/addressing non-compliance
Leverages logistics platforms (technology utilization), TMS, GPS tracking, and data analytics tools to enhance visibility and decision-making
Partners and works cross-functionally with Store Operations, Loss Prevention and Distribution Services to identify opportunities for change and plan implementation at the store level that simplifies their daily operation
Monitors and executes SOP with carriers to drive continuous improvement in last mile across Canada
Establishes daily communication with transportation carriers, Service Center and DCs to plan appointments ensuring efficient and smooth flow of last mile deliveries
Arranges contingency plans to mitigate high cost for when disruptions occur in the Supply Chain
About You:
Minimum two to three (2-3) years related work experience, preferably in logistics, supply chain, dispatching, transportation, engineering, business is an asset
Post secondary degree in related discipline preferred (e.g. Business, Transportation, Logistics or Supply Chain Management). CITT designation or The Logistics Institute (P.Log.) is an asset
Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations. Demonstrated problem solving skills including analysis of information (i.e. requirements, description of problems) with ability to provide solutions to effectively resolve issues
Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks in a timely manner
Proficiency in TMS, Network Optimization Software, Dispatch Management Software and Fleet Software. Experience with WMS is a plus
