Landscape Rehab Consultant (Short-Term, Fixed-Fee)
Title: Landscape Rehab Consultant — 17-acre private property (near Barrie, ON)
Engagement: One-off consulting scope (2–4 weeks) with option for periodic check-ins.
Deliverables (fixed-fee):
- Site Assessment & Triage: zone map, problem list (lawn, beds, invasives, trees, irrigation), risk/hazards.
- Rehab Plan: Produce a rehabilitation plan to restore areas with dead grass and revitalise the landscaping.
- Procurement List & Budget: Estimate the details of: plants, materials, soil/compost, mulch, seed, irrigation parts, aeration plan;
- Field Day: on-site day to brief the labour crew and supervise day-1 execution; punch-list with acceptance criteria.
- Close-out: maintenance calendar (weekly/seasonal), photo-documented before/after set.
What you bring:
- 5+ years professional landscape design/maintenance consulting (LO member or OALA firm an asset).
- Strong plant ID (ornamental + native), lawn repair, pruning, invasive management; practical, not just conceptual.
- Comfortable leading and QA-ing labour crew for a one-off sprint
