L’OCA Quality Market is an emerging specialty grocer and gourmet food retailer in Canada whose purpose is to “Spread the Love” by delivering a world-class food experience. Our core values are Quality, Scratch, Theatre, Service, and Love. Each location is comprised of a full artisanal market experience, including full-service restaurant(s), where traditional artisanal craftsmanship and service on the front end meets new world technology and innovation on the back end. A revolutionary purchasing and org structure, supported by custom technology, allows us to leverage efficiency across the business unit to drive scratch perishable production, mass prepared foods selection, full carcass meat programs, and world class service in a cost-effective format. There is also a special place in our hearts for quality local and Canadian products and we aim to deliver positive change to the food chain through a focus on local sourcing and private label partnerships. We are currently laying the groundwork for a national chain focused initially on western Canada. Our first location is 48k square feet, and located in Sherwood Park, Alberta.

Position: Kitchen Operations Coordinator

About L’OCA Quality Market:
We aren’t just a market – we’re a dynamic hub of quality, service, and teamwork! As part of our Store Support Team, you’ll be the face of our vision, mission, and core values, ensuring a sparkling image of our brand every day.
What You'll Be Up To:
- Be our store’s ambassador, always shining with professionalism, and infectiously positive attitude!
- Data Entry and Recipe Reviews:
- Ensure ingredient costing is current and accurate.
- Collaborate with Chefs to verify production times and yields are correct.
- Ordering and Receiving:
- Place orders with vendors for kitchen and other departmental supplies.
- Verify and approve incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Load and unload products as required.
- Reporting:
- Provide daily and weekly reports to management, including inventory levels and ordering status.
- Participate in the dance of store-wide meetings and full inventory count days. (Yes, they're mandatory, but with a team like ours, you’ll look forward to them!)
- Embrace the dynamic nature of our store – from supporting other departments to mastering various in-store roles.
Skills We Admire:
- A wizardry knowledge of store procedures.
- Ability to inspire and educate peers with an encouraging spirit.
- Stellar communication and leadership chops.
- A knack for numbers – after all, accurate transactions make the world (and our customers) go ‘round!
- Tech-savvy? Great! You'll be using Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, Emails, and other cool operational tools.
What You Should Bring:
- 12+ months of retail experience, and a passion to learn and grow.
- A commitment to adhere to our store processes, food safety standards, and all the exciting policies that ensure we run a smooth ship.
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
