We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our culinary team. The Kitchen Helper plays a crucial role in supporting the kitchen staff by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring that all kitchen operations run smoothly. Duties
- Assist in food preparation tasks, including washing, chopping, and measuring ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
- Help with meal preparation by following recipes and instructions from cooks or chefs.
- Ensure that all food safety and sanitation standards are adhered to during food handling and preparation.
- Support cooks during service by preparing garnishes, sauces, or side dishes as needed.
- Assist in stocking supplies and inventory management to ensure the kitchen is well-equipped.
- Participate in cleaning duties at the end of shifts to maintain a safe and hygienic work environment.
Skills
- Previous experience in the food industry or food service is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of food handling and safety practices is essential.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while following instructions from kitchen staff.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining cleanliness and order in the kitchen.
