Duties
- Assist in food preparation, including washing, chopping, and measuring ingredients for meals.
- Help cooks with meal preparation tasks as directed, ensuring that all food items are ready for cooking.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
- Follow food safety guidelines and maintain high standards of hygiene in the kitchen at all times.
- Stock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
- Support the culinary team during peak hours by helping with various kitchen tasks.
- Assist in cleaning kitchen surfaces and equipment to ensure a safe working environment.
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with food handling and safety practices is a plus.
- A willingness to learn new skills related to food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a busy kitchen setting.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions from chefs and supervisors.
