We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in meal preparation and ensure that the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities
- Assist with meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and preparing ingredients as directed by the cook.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment.
- Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food is handled properly and stored correctly.
- Help with inventory management by restocking supplies and keeping track of food items.
- Support the cooking staff during peak hours by providing timely assistance in food preparation tasks.
- Ensure that all kitchen areas are kept clean and sanitized at all times.
- Participate in training sessions to improve skills related to food handling and safety practices.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations is a plus.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and proper handling procedures.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
