A key accounts manager for the food manufacturing industry is responsible for managing and growing relationships with key customers or clients. The following is a typical job description for this role:
Requirements:
- Manage and develop relationships with key customers in the industry
- Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth with key customers
- Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., production, quality, regulatory) to ensure timely delivery and product quality
- Monitor inventory levels at customer locations and ensure product meets quality standards
- Identify opportunities to increase sales with existing customers and drive new business development
- Ensure customer satisfaction and timely resolution of any customer issues or concerns
- Prepare regular account reports, forecasts and performance analyses
- Track market trends, customer feedback and competitive activity to inform sales strategies
- Develop and manage account plans and budgets
- Prepare and deliver sales presentations to key customers
- Develop and maintain an understanding of the customer’s business and industry
- Meet or exceed sales targets and objectives
- Attend industry events, trade shoes and customer meetings as needed.
Qualifications:
- 2-3 years of account management or sales experience in food service industry
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and brokers
- Strong Analytical Skills and Business Planning abilities
- Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to analyze sales data and create actionable reports
- Ability to work well in a team and independently
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
- Ability to travel within and outside Canada
- On site work, no remote
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
