Opportunity:
We’re looking for passionate and dedicated Cleaners to join our team. In this role, you will work alongside Dog Handlers to ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of dog kennels and staff common areas. As part of our team, you’ll play an essential role in keeping our animals happy, comfortable, and healthy while they wait for their forever homes. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and on their feet all day.

Dog Tales is a world-renowned dog rescue and horse sanctuary set on an incredible 50 acres of green fields, rolling hills, and wooded areas in King City, Ontario. Our picturesque location – complete with walking trails, therapy pools, and a grooming spa – is the perfect setting for abused and neglected animals to heal and be rehabilitated while they wait for forever homes. Along with medical care, our team provides all of the love, attention, and training that our rescue animals need to recover from their difficult pasts, so that they can move on to permanent, loving homes, which most do. The Role:
- Efficiently cleaning dog kennel rooms multiple times daily.
- Ensuring all dogs have the appropriate bedding, toys, and clean water bowls.
- Handling laundry and providing fresh blankets and beds for the dogs.
- Sorting, washing, and organizing physical donations (e.g., dog beds, blankets, toys).
- Assisting other departments as needed.
What You Bring:
- 2+ years of professional cleaning experience.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to lift heavy objects.

Schedule:
All animals require care year-round, including weekends and evenings. Our team members work varied shifts (7am-4pm or 12pm-9pm) from Monday-Sunday, including holidays, with one weekend off per month.
