Maple Trails Boarding Kennel is not your average kennel. We’re an inclusive, collaborative, and professional small business offering boarding and daycare for dogs in a unique, pack-based environment. Our carefully selected pups (ranging from 3 lbs to 135 lbs) socialize and play together in one large, well-managed pack of 30–50 dogs each day. Many of them have grown up here, making our work deeply rewarding.
We pride ourselves on maintaining a fun, safe, and clean environment—both for the pups and for our team.

Position Overview
We’re seeking an energetic and enthusiastic animal lover who is comfortable working with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and ages. This role requires a confident, calm, and assertive approach in a dynamic pack setting. While there’s plenty of tail-wagging fun—playing, walking, and taking photos—this job also involves hard work to maintain high standards of cleanliness and care.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet clients at drop-off, store belongings, prepare meals, and coordinate pick-up
- Play and interact with pups indoors and outdoors
- Oversee group play, help with new dog assessments and introductions
- Feed dogs, clean up after them, and maintain clean facilities
- Record feedings, treatments, and updates for each dog
- Sanitize bowls, do laundry, and keep play areas spotless
- Lift up to 50 lbs, stay on your feet, and perform bending/squatting tasks
Qualifications
- Dependable – Consistency is critical when caring for live animals
- Patient – Maintain calm with dogs that may be noisy, strong, or untrained
- Quick Learner – Remember names, behaviors, and routines quickly
- Strong Work Ethic – Take pride in meeting cleaning and care standards
- Friendly & Professional – Be approachable and energetic in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Clear Communicator – Oral and written skills to follow safety procedures and relay important details
- Physically Fit – Able to lift, stand, and move all day
Schedule & Availability
- Shifts between 7:00 am and 8:00 pm
- Must be available for weekends and holidays (we operate 365 days/year)
- Part-time: Minimum 2–3 shifts/week, including weekday evenings, weekends, and holidays
