We're Hiring: Math Tutor (Part-Time / In-Person & Online)

We are a boutique education consulting company based in Vancouver, dedicated to providing high-quality academic support and personalized learning experiences for students. We are currently seeking an experienced Math Tutor to join our team.
Position Overview: We are looking for a passionate and professional Math tutor who has experience tutoring the BC math curriculum; SSAT & SAT Math; Math competitions; AP math. The role includes teaching in-person small group classes as well as 1-on-1 online lessons.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective math lessons to students in Grades K–12
- Teach both in-person group sessions and individual online classes
- Assess student progress and provide regular feedback to students and parents
- Prepare lesson plans and tailor instruction to individual learning needs
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and our consulting team
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from a recognized North American university (Math, Education, Engineering, or related field preferred)
- Minimum 3 years of tutoring or teaching experience in math
- Fluent in English (teaching language must be English)
- Solid understanding of the BC math curriculum (both elementary and secondary level, and AP Math is a plus)
- Provide instruction and test strategies for SSAT and SAT Math
- Guide students preparing for math competitions (e.g., Waterloo contests, AMC, Euclid, etc.)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Responsible, punctual, and committed to students’ success
- Able to work in-person at our Kerrisdale location and deliver online lessons when needed
- Must have a valid work permit or legal working status in Canada
Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications.
Starting at CAD 30 per hour
