West Four Group of Companies has an opportunity for the right individual to join us. This person will report to both the local Operations Manager and Director of Sales, working under the Penner Doors & Hardware brand.
Position and Responsibilities
· Responsible for the quantity surveying of commercial steel doors and frames, architectural hardware, and building specialties.
· Perform quantity take-off/survey
· Transfer take-off to costing platform
· Review supplier and subcontractor proposals and pricing.
· Once reviewed by estimator, prepare quotation/proposal and send to customer
· Review supplier and subcontractor proposals and pricing.
Education and Qualifications
· Knowledge base of the construction and building materials industry.
· Post-secondary education is preferred: Construction Engineering-related sciences such as an Architectural & Building Technologies Diploma or Architectural & Interior Technologies Diploma.
· Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
· Problem-solving and advanced Excel skills are required. Basic computer skills are imperative.
· A realization that customer service and relationships are a primary focus.
· Organizational skills and self-motivation are important attributes.
