JOB DETAILS:
We are currently accepting resumes for Sprinkler Fitter journeypersons for work in the Grande Prairie and surrounding Northern townships.
Wage
Journeyperson - $48.11/HR (Total Package $65.98), there is a forecasted wage increase to come by year end.
REPONSIBILITIES:
- Work with the team to inspect, test, maintain and install sprinkler systems.
- Inspect, test, maintain and install wet/dry sprinkler systems, deluge systems special hazard, and clean agent systems.
- Read & interpret blueprints, evaluate plans diagrams, specifications, schematics, and manufactures manuals.
- Install wet and dry sprinkler systems as per the NFPA and Building Code, specifically NFPA 25.
- Install fire sprinkler systems for Industrial and commercial applications.
- A drug and alcohol test may be required pending client requests for pre-access on some projects.
- Execute work safely and promote safe work behaviours with peers.
- Travelling to/from various job site locations.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR:
- 5+ years of experience installing and servicing sprinkler systems
- Familiarity with applicable NFPA Codes
- Ability to read & understand blueprints
- Excellent organization and time management
- Ability to complete documentation with detail & accuracy
- Knowledge of hand tools
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to lift heavy loads (50lbs)
- Valid driver’s license
- To provide a drivers abstract prior to confirmation of hiring
- Be able to pass a security clearance

- Applicant must be flexible to a multitude of shift types and hours worked
