Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Journeyperson Plumber to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential and commercial settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of plumbing techniques and safety protocols, along with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Duties
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
- Build and maintain water supply systems and waste disposal systems.
- Perform heavy lifting as required to transport materials and equipment.
- Weld pipes and fittings as necessary to ensure secure connections.
- Plumb HVAC systems to ensure proper installation and functionality.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for various plumbing tasks.
- Read blueprints to understand project specifications and requirements.
- Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify issues or needed repairs.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to complete projects efficiently.
Qualifications
- Proven experience (2yrs) as a plumber with a valid journeyman/journeywoman license.
- Strong knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating pipe lengths and fittings.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately to follow project plans.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods.
