Japanese-speaking Camp Counsellor (Summer Contract Position)
Canadian International Student Services is actively looking for a Japanese-speaking Camp Counsellor for its downtown Toronto ESL Summer Programmes. The successful candidate is an enthusiastic, responsible, and compassionate leader who actively engages campers, and confidently guides them through new experiences while managing challenges effectively.
Specific duties may include but are not limited to:
- Leading and participating in camp activities, sports, and excursions.
- Supervising campers, ensuring safety and well-being at all times.
- Fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for all students.
- Assisting with conflict resolution and behaviour management.
- Acting as a role model and mentor.
The contract is from June 24 to August 2. Due to the residential aspect of the programme, room and board will be provided at the site while the programme is in operation.
Specific Qualifications:
- Experience working with youth in a residential camp setting.
- Enthusiastic, responsible, and adaptable personality.
- Strong teamwork and leadership skills.
- Valid First-Aid and CPR.
- Must be able to provide VSC or CRC.
- Must be at least 19 years of age.
