Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and eager team member to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installation, service maintenance and repair of irrigation systems in various landscapes, ensuring optimal water distribution for gardens and other green spaces. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, trouble-shooting skills and a willingness to learn!
While previous or similar experience would be an asset, it is not a requirement! We will provide hands-on training!
This job requires travel from outside of the Hamilton area, including but not limited to Niagara Falls to the Greater Toronto Area.
A valid G vehicle license with no issues is required for this job position.
Responsibilities
- Install, service maintain and repairs to irrigation systems, including pipes, valves, and sprinkler heads.
- Diagnose and repair issues with existing irrigation systems to ensure efficient operation.
- Perform regular inspections of irrigation systems to identify areas for improvement or repair.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to build and modify irrigation setups.
- Collaborate with landscape maintenance teams to integrate irrigation solutions into garden designs.
- Dig trenches for pipe installation and ensure proper placement of irrigation components.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
- Maintain Health and Safety legislation as it pertains to vehicle upkeep, machinery uses and outdoor environments.
- Provide world-class customer services skills.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to irrigation systems and landscape maintenance is an asset.
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively is an asset.
- Ability to dig trenches and perform physical labor as required by the job.
- Experience in building or modifying irrigation systems is an asset.
- Knowledge of best practices for irrigating gardens and maintaining healthy landscapes.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with team members.
- Excellent customer service skills.
