Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Inventory Clerk (Stores) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, receiving and issuing stock, and ensuring the efficient operation of the stores area. This role plays a crucial part in supporting operations and ensuring materials and products are available as needed.
Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming deliveries.
- Verify shipments against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately input inventory data into inventory management systems.
- Maintain up-to-date and accurate inventory records.
- Organize and label stock in storage areas for easy identification and retrieval.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and participate in full inventory audits.
- Issue materials to staff and ensure proper documentation.
- Monitor stock levels and notify supervisors of low or excess inventory.
- Ensure the stores area is clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations.
- Assist in resolving discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a warehouse, stores, or inventory-related role.
- Familiarity with inventory management software and systems.
- Basic computer skills (e.g., MS Excel, inventory databases).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to complete repetitive lifting and move items as required (up to 50 lbs).
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills
- Forklift certification.
- Knowledge of safety practices in a warehouse or stores environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.50-$19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 45 per week
