We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Fundraising Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in developing and implementing fundraising strategies to support our mission. This position requires strong organizational skills, proficiency in digital marketing tools, and the ability to engage with various stakeholders to drive fundraising efforts effectively.
Candidate Criteria
· Candidate must be a new entrant into the workforce, are transitioning to a new career, or the unemployed or underemployed who are entering a new field.
· Candidate must have not previously participated in an NOHFC funded internship in the 2020 Mandate.
· Candidate must be 18 years of age or older.
· Candidate must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
· Once hired, the candidate must reside in the Northern Ontario community in which they are employed.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising plans that align with organizational goals.
- Conduct market research to identify potential funding sources and donor prospects.
- Manage fundraising databases, ensuring accurate tracking of donations and donor information.
- Utilize Salesforce and Raiser’s Edge for donor management and reporting purposes.
- Create and implement email marketing campaigns using MailChimp to engage current and prospective donors.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to enhance digital marketing efforts through social media and website content, including WordPress updates.
- Negotiate sponsorships and partnerships with local businesses and organizations to maximize fundraising opportunities.
- Organize fundraising events, including logistics planning, promotion, and post-event analysis.
- Prepare reports on fundraising progress, analyzing data to inform future strategies.
Requirements
- Experience in fundraising or sales
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and google workstations as well as Canvas
- Excellent research skills to identify potential donors and funding opportunities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective outreach and relationship-building.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Pay: $17.20-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
