Blue Chip MRC and Field Services is actively seeking an Intermediate Measurement Technician to support a long-term project in Grande Prairie, Alberta.

Position Requirements:
· Full-time permanent role
· Based in Grande Prairie, Alberta
· Supported by Blue Chip’s senior measurement and regulatory leadership team
· Exposure to a progressive and highly respected upstream energy producer
Key Responsibilities:
· Review and update metering schematics to ensure regulatory and operational accuracy
· Review, trend, and manage volumetric data for integrity
· Manage meter maintenance, sampling, and effluent testing programs
· Support monthly reporting for Production Accounting
· Collaborate with Operations and Maintenance to optimize measurement tasks and budgets
· Lead or support internal and external audits related to measurement and reporting
· Identify cost-saving initiatives to reduce metering maintenance and operational costs (OPEX)
· Streamline and standardize measurement procedures for long-term efficiency
· Assist with fuel, flare, and vent measurement and reporting
· Participate in the Management of Change (MOC) process, including drawing reviews and regulatory compliance
· Oversee calibration, proving, and sampling activities when issues arise
· Provide regulatory guidance for new developments in partnership with Engineering
· Offer operational insight into field testing and measurement best practices
Who You Are:
· 3–5+ years of experience in field measurement, regulatory compliance, or oil & gas operations
· Strong understanding of AER Directives; D-017 specifically, but D-060 and 076 are an asset
· Background in instrumentation, operations, or measurement is a strong asset
· Proficient with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
· Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently at remote sites
· Clear communicator and capable technical writer
· Experience with schematics, separation systems, or test setups is considered an advantage
