Position Details
- Part-time, contract basis
- Based in Kitchener, ON
What You’ll Do
As our Interior Design Consultant, you’ll be the key connection between our homebuyers and their new homes. Your role will combine design expertise with customer service to create an exciting and stress-free experience for our clients.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading 1–3 colour/design consultations with purchasers
- Guiding clients through material and finish selections, including substitutions for discontinued or back-ordered items
- Inputting design-related change orders and non-standard orders into our system, ensuring accuracy and signoffs from clients and management
- Coordinating collection of deposits from clients
- Staging model homes (including sourcing and purchasing furnishings and décor as needed)
- Reviewing construction drawings and collaborating with our drafting team
- Calculating product quantities for new models
- Updating product selections in our Design Studio
- Assisting with exterior selections for future multi-unit residences
- Supporting the selection of standard materials for upcoming projects
What We’re Looking For
- A creative professional with a positive attitude and a passion for design
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management abilities
- A true team player who thrives in a collaborative environment
- Minimum 3 years of residential design experience (customer-facing experience an asset)
- Proficient with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Excel in particular); Revit and builder ERP system experience is a strong asset
- Graduate of an accredited Interior Design program (preferred)
- Valid Driver’s License required
