HOME INSTALLS COORDINATOR
FULL-TIME
(Salary + Commission)
HOURS: 8:00AM to 5:00PM (with the occasional evening and/or weekend)
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Home Installs Coordinator is responsible for the daily Installed Sales operations and specialty projects. They are responsible for meeting established sales goals and projected margins. Duties include the supervision and directing of all activities associated with selling, installing, constructing, collections and customer follow up in the Home Installs Sales Department.DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure that all Installed Sales customers receive superior service.
- Develop the department's service mission and service strategy.
- Establish sales goals for the Home Installs program.
- Review the competition's advertising and marketing programs.
- Utilize Installed Sales management software programs, operational manuals, and other material.
- Maintain the accuracy of the job cost accounting for each job utilizing the provided software.
- Create final job estimates. Compare estimated costs against actual costs and make revisions in pricing guides where necessary.
- Coordinate with store managers to continually update the pricing guides.
- Schedule all projects, installations, deliveries, and pick-ups.
- Coordinate installations with store managers, inside salespeople, installers and customers.
- Solicit sub-contractors for participation in the Installed Sales program.
- Supervise the qualifying of all installers and contractors.
- Maintain rapport with all installers and contractors by telephone, mail, and/or by periodically holding contractor meetings.
- Provide updated materials to installers as well as prospective installers.
- Alert all installers 30 days prior to any insurance and/or license expirations using the reports generated by the management software.
- Provide computer-generated reports and other reports and information to supervisor as requested.
- Provide administrative direction to all department employees and sub-contractors.
- Ensure that the department's accounting, software, and customer files are accurate and up to date.
- Ensure that all services meet or exceed requirements by regulatory agencies and OSHA.
- Maintain a familiarity with local building codes.
- Coordinate any trade show participation.
- Assist in the development of the annual budget.
- Ensure that all employees and sub-contractors are taught, understand, and practice the company's service philosophy.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong leadership abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, sales and customer service and training skills.
- Excellent knowledge in kitchen/bath/general home renovations, as well as window and door replacement.
- Strong knowledge of building material products (especially commodities) and lumber.
- Knowledge of point-of-sales systems, basic business accounting, safety, and store security.
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and/or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Computer knowledge.
LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION:
- Valid driver’s license of the appropriate type and class.
- Insurability for driving
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to talk and hear.
- Ability to stand, walk and sit.
- Manual dexterity.
- Strength: lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Close vision, distance vision, colour vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Work in controlled temperature 50% of the time; outside 50% of the time.
- Occasionally work near moving mechanical parts.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
§ Reports directly to the Store Manager or Dealer-Owner.
