Job Summary
The Equipment Install Labourer supports the Equipment Installer, Service Manager, and the company with all installation functions. Responsibilities include assisting with installations of refrigeration and other food equipment, maintaining accurate records of performed duties, materials, and time, and ensuring an accurate inventory of materials and supplies.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation of restaurant equipment at customer locations.
- Complete install functions following company principles, practices, and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records through a work order and tablet system.
- Ensure compliance with safe driving practices and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of materials and supplies as issued by the parts department.
- Store all equipment securely in company vehicles.
- Work with the Parts Clerk for driving directions and job-specific instructions.
- Assist Service Technicians with troubleshooting and repairs.
- Follow safe work practices, including proper material handling and use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in safety training and adhere to health and safety policies.
- Present a professional image, maintaining clean and organized service vehicles.
- Keep all documentation complete, accurate, and on time.
Skills/Qualifications
- 2 to 3 years of direct installation experience is an asset.
- Valid G Class Driver’s License and clean driver’s abstract.
- Knowledge of email and iPad/tablet use.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Proficiency in using electronic devices.
- Strong time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to multitask.
- Sound decision-making skills, reliability, and professional integrity.
- Fall arrest training; First Aid training is an asset.
- Physical ability to lift up to 70 lbs and perform manual tasks.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $22.50 per hour
Willingness to travel:
