Position Overview:

The Inside Sales Representative will play a key role in supporting the growth of YORK1’s business by proactively engaging with prospective and existing customers, qualifying leads, and supporting the outside sales team. This role will involve identifying sales opportunities, building strong client relationships, managing the CRM, and helping drive sales performance through effective communication and follow-up.

We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented, and client-focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working as part of a collaborative sales team.


Key Functions & Duties:

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Proactively reach out to potential clients through calls, emails, and other communication channels to generate and qualify leads.
  • Respond to inbound inquiries and provide information about YORK1’s services and solutions.
  • Support the sales team with appointment scheduling, follow-ups, and customer communications.
  • Assist with proposal and quotation preparation, and ensure all documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Maintain and update customer records, sales activities, and pipeline status in the CRM (HubSpot).
  • Coordinate with internal departments (operations, customer service, etc.) to ensure smooth execution of customer requirements.
  • Conduct market research and monitor industry trends to support lead generation and identify new opportunities.
  • Help organize virtual and in-person client meetings, presentations, and occasional trade show support.
  • Provide feedback from clients to help inform sales strategy and service improvements.

Required Education, Experience & Abilities:

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Marketing, or a related field is an asset.
  • 2+ years of experience in inside sales, customer service, or a similar sales support role.
  • Experience working with a CRM system (preferably HubSpot).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first approach.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently and collaboratively.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Positive attitude, high attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
