Responsible for selling materials and supplies to clients, primarily in the industrial and construction industry. Inside sales representatives are tasked with building and sustaining relationships with both existing and prospective customers, understanding their needs, and delivering effective product solutions. Providing outstanding customer service and achieving sales goals. Candidates with prior experience, strong communication and problem-solving skills are considered valuable assets.
Responsibilities
· Generate new and repeat sales by providing product and technical information promptly.
· Determine customer needs to recommend specific products and solutions.
· Recommend alternate products based on cost, availability, or specifications.
· Accurately process customer transactions such as orders, quotes, or returns.
. Pick orders as required.
· Review open orders and backorders daily.
· Provide accurate information regarding the availability of items.
· Proactively recommend items needed by the customer to increase customer satisfaction and improve transaction profitability.
· Increase sales and average order size by utilizing cross-selling, up-selling, add-on sales, and offering promotional sale items.
· Educate customers about the features and benefits of products to improve product-related sales and customer satisfaction.
· Become familiar with current product lines by engaging in sales meetings and vendor training.
· Maintain showroom inventory and cleanliness.
· Manage time effectively and meet sales goals.
· Maintain proficiency in using the computer, POS terminals, office equipment, and software.
· Follow company policies and procedures.
· Present a professional image at all times to customers and vendors.
· Perform other duties as assigned by the Order Desk Manager.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or Equivalent experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· 2-3 years experience in a related industry.
· Superior customer service skills.
· Exceptional listening, communication (verbal and written), and phone etiquette.
· Demonstrated integrity and ethical standards.
· Technical expertise and knowledge of company products.
· Problem-solving abilities.
