Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Infant Toddler Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering the growth and development of young children in a nurturing and stimulating environment. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, promoting social and emotional development, and ensuring a safe and inclusive classroom atmosphere.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with educational standards.
- Educate children on various subjects, including language, math, science, and social skills.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and creativity.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding children's progress and any concerns.
- Manage classroom behavior using effective leadership techniques.
- Organize activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development.
- Write progress reports and maintain accurate records of student performance.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience for all students.
- Provide support for children with special education needs as required.
- Follow company policies and procedures
- Follow the Rules and Regulations set out by Interior Health for licensed childcare centres
Experience
- Strong organizational skills to manage classroom activities effectively.
- Excellent time management abilities to balance multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Leadership skills to guide children in their learning journey.
- Experience or knowledge in special education is a plus but not required.
