Reporting to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Generalist-Recruitment will have responsibility for all external recruitment including building relationships with external stakeholders to promote the Hospital as the employer of choice.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Coordinate the full recruitment cycle by posting positions, attracting candidates, evaluating resumes, scheduling and conducting interviews, and managing the hiring and onboarding of new employees
- Develop and maintain relationships with post-secondary institutions to promote the Hospital as an employer of choice for student placements and permanent employment opportunities
- Develop recruitment strategies for targeted positions
- Collaborate with Volunteer coordinator to maintain relationships with high school co-op students as potential future hires
- Responsible for the Hospital Wide Orientation process
- Utilize Hospital Wide Orientation survey data and Exit Interview data to continuously improve onboarding process and retention efforts
- Develop and maintain effective screening and interviewing tools to support the selection process
- Collaborate with Communications on effectively implementing a social media recruitment strategy
- Utilize LinkedIn and other online resources to actively seek candidates
- Represent the Hospital at area job fairs
- Support managers with the interview process including developing their interviewing skills
- Monitor 30-60-90 review completion
- Attend departmental staffing meetings
- Maintain job description inventory for the hospital
- Provide staffing support for internal stakeholders
- Drive Recruitment process improvements
- Act as an ambassador for Erie Shores HealthCare and assists in promoting and sustaining the desired culture
- Abide, instill and demonstrate all provincial laws including privacy
- Practice Health & Safety guidelines
- Other duties as assigned or required
QUALIFICATIONS
- University degree or College diploma in Human Resources or Business Administration required
- CHRP designation preferred
- 3-5 years of Human Resources experience in Recruitment
- Previous experience working in a health care setting preferred
- Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, web based software programs, and a strong knowledge of an HRIS system
- Exceptional organizational and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills as well as the ability to manage and resolve conflict.
- Have strong learning orientation focused on providing a positive customer experience for stakeholders
