We are currently seeking a full-time HR & Recruitment Coordinator who would act as an ambassador to the business and our culture. This role is critical to the talent acquisition and onboarding processes to ensure the respective yard delivers exceptional results by having the right people with the right skills and motivation.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Support all aspects of the talent acquisition process for Ontario and Western Canada locations.
- Post jobs on multiple platforms, resume collection and screening, applicant follow up/interview scheduling and administering background checks as required.
- Conduct intake meetings to ensure alignment on resourcing strategy.
- Prepare Hourly team member offer letters, new hire packages and payroll documentation.
- Source and attend local job fairs with Human Resources Manager and local managers.
- Support managers and supervisors in developing, implementing, and monitoring onboarding plans.
- Co-ordinate the on-boarding process and ensure all documents pertaining to the life cycle of any employee are accurately and timely processed.
- Organize and maintain electronic filing of confidential employee documents.
- Coordinate all administration related to training, including enrollment, materials, and attendance and evaluation tracking.
- Reports on key HR metrics (e.g., recruitment metrics, attrition and exit interview data) and works with the team to create recommendations and solutions.
- Track probationary review completion and exit interview execution.
- Provides administrative support for employee arrivals, departures and changes including paperwork and drafting employee memos; creates employment verification letters.
- Maintain/update user profiles on the Learning Management System (GMSU)
- Perform other duties/responsibilities, as assigned based on business requirements.
- University degree/College diploma in Human Resources or related field.
- 1 - 3 years of Human Resources experience.
- Sound judgement, solution oriented and able to deal with confidential and/or sensitive information.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Flexible, with ability to juggle and manage shifting priorities expeditiously and efficiently.
- Highly developed organizational, prioritizing and time-management skills.
- Role model with a strong work ethic.
- The ability to work accurately, with attention to detail.
- Intermediate in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).
- Open-minded, enthusiastic, energetic, and possess a positive and professional service attitude.
