Your Role as an HR Coordinator
As an HR Coordinator with a recruitment focus, you'll be a key player in finding and bringing new talent into Big League Food Company. You'll manage the full recruitment lifecycle for various roles, while also supporting broader HR initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment & Hiring (Primary Focus):
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process for a variety of positions, from retail to corporate roles.
- Create compelling job postings that attract top talent.
- Source and screen resumes, conduct initial phone interviews, and present qualified candidates to hiring managers.
- Coordinate interview schedules and ensure a positive candidate experience.
- Collaborate closely with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and provide recruitment guidance.
- HR Reporting & Data:
- Help maintain and generate monthly, quarterly, and year-end HR reports for departments, with a focus on recruitment metrics.
- Maintain EHT & WSIB Reports
- Utilize our Human Resource Management System (HUMI) effectively for data entry and reporting.
- Use Excel to create tools that help optimize reporting and recruitment tracking.
- Reconcile Year end data
- Employee Engagement Support:
- Assist in coordinating employee surveys to gather valuable feedback.
- Analyze survey results and contribute to recommendations for improvement.
- Performance Administration Support:
- Support the implementation and oversight of employee performance management processes, including documentation and tracking.
- Grants Support:
- Assist with identifying new grant opportunities, preparing applications, and managing claims processing activities.
- General HR Support:
- Provide administrative support to the HR team, ensuring smooth daily operations and maintaining organized HR files
- Other projects as and when assigned by the manager.
What We're Looking For:
- A post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- 1-3 years of experience in a Human Resources or administrative support role, with demonstrable experience or strong interest in recruitment activities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) – you'll use Excel regularly, so strong intermediate skills are a plus!
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- A detail-oriented mindset and the ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- A proactive and eager-to-learn attitude, ready to take on new challenges and grow within the HR field.
- Experience with HRIS or Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) is an asset.
