The Position:
Shaughnessy Golf and Country Club is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented seasonal Housekeeper/Ladies Locker Room Attendant.
Reporting to the Executive Assistant, this important position will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and overall appearance of the Club’s facilities. This position requires a high level of accountability, initiative, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. The position offers an immediate start date with 5 shifts per week in June (Wednesday through Sunday), preferably from 11:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., including a 30-minute break, with flexibility in hours (priority coverage in the afternoon). After June, the schedule may be adjusted to 3 shifts per week (Friday through Sunday) based on business needs throughout the season. This is a seasonal contract position ending on November 14, 2025.

Founded in 1911 when Vancouver was just 25 years old, Shaughnessy Golf and Country Club traces its history back to the earliest days of golf on the West Coast. First located on Canadian Pacific Railway lands, the Club moved in 1960 to the ancestral site of the Musqueam Nation’s winter village. Shaughnessy has served as the proud host of many prestigious events and notable figures in golf and tennis over these 100+ years. Today’s Club features an award-winning clubhouse, highly ranked and competitive golf course, indoor and outdoor tennis, fitness, and a golf performance centre.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the Club’s facilities, including the ladies' locker room, restrooms, and common areas.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and trash removal.
- Ensure the ladies' locker room is consistently clean, stocked with necessary supplies, and presents a welcoming environment.
- Respond promptly to member and guest requests for housekeeping services.
- Ensure all cleaning supplies are properly stocked and maintained.
- Report any maintenance or repair needs to the Maintenance team.
The Housekeeper/Ladies’ Locker Room Attendant may be required to perform duties that are outside the above listed scope of work as assigned by any member of the management team.
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Demonstrates strong accountability and initiative.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
- Passion for providing excellent customer service.
- Good physical condition and the ability to perform manual labor and lift heavy objects up to fifty pounds and stand or walk for extended periods.
- Previous experience in housekeeping or janitorial services is preferred.
- Ability to operate a golf cart.
- Must be able to speak, read and write English.
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
