The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Edmonton South is currently looking for a Housekeeper / Room Attendant to tend to the needs and cleanliness of guest rooms and the hotel. The ideal candidate must be a team member with a friendly demeanor that is able to co-operate with other staff and also our guests.
Duties include:
- Clean guest rooms and public areas
- Change linen and replace used towels
- Vacuum carpets, dust furniture
- Scrub and scour surfaces including use of extending arms overhead, bending
- Replenish bathroom amenities (e.g. soap and shampoo)
- Report any technical issues and maintenance needs
- Address guests’ queries (e.g. on additional services)
- Help guests retrieve lost items
- Ensure all assigned rooms are clean and tidy by the end of the shift
- Follow hotel security guidelines
- Perform other duties as required or deemed necessary
Qualification and skills:
- Good physical health and stamina
- Flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Energetic and able to work under pressure
- Ability to lift a maximum of 50lbs
- Capable of working independently as well as in a team environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00-$16.50 per hour
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Edmonton, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
