About the Role:
As a House Associate, you will support the housekeeping team by assisting Room Associates and ensuring the cleanliness and organization of hotel facilities. You will collect and distribute linens, remove trash, and provide prompt service to both guests and colleagues. As part of the pre-opening team, you will play a vital role in setting up housekeeping operations, organizing supplies, and preparing the hotel’s public and service areas for opening.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist Room Associates by delivering linens, amenities, and supplies to guest floors.
- Collect soiled linens from carts and closets and transport them to the laundry
department.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of floor closets, vending areas, and storage
spaces.
- Cleaning the parking lot area, emptying the outside garbage receptables, and pet
garbage.
- Remove trash and recycling from assigned areas and ensure proper disposal.
- Receiving orders and responsible for distributing them to the correct areas
- Respond promptly to guest and staff requests, including delivery of housekeeping
items such as rollaway beds, cots, or extra linens.
- Report any maintenance issues, safety hazards, or repair needs to the supervisor
immediately.
- Assist with deep cleaning projects and special housekeeping tasks as required.
- Promote teamwork and quality service through effective communication with
colleagues and other departments.
- Support pre-opening housekeeping setup by organizing equipment, stocking supplies,
and ensuring readiness for guest service.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience in a hotel or similar environment is an
asset.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction.
- Friendly, service-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays.
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, push heavy carts, stand for extended periods, and
perform cleaning tasks.
Health & Safety Responsibilities
- Follow Hyatt’s Health & Safety Program and all Occupational Health & Safety
regulations.
- Use required personal protective equipment (PPE) and handle cleaning products
safely.
- Report all accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions promptly to a supervisor.
- Participate in health and safety initiatives and contribute to maintaining a safe work
environment.
- Promote and follow the “Clean as You Go” policy in all areas of the hotel.
