We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in ensuring a positive dining experience.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage the reservation system and maintain an organized waiting list during peak hours.
- Provide accurate wait times and communicate effectively with guests regarding their seating status.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
- Handle phone inquiries with professionalism, including reservations and general information about the restaurant.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
- Assist in managing the flow of guests during busy periods to optimize seating efficiency.
- Uphold high standards of hospitality, ensuring that every guest feels valued and appreciated.
Requirements
- Previous experience in guest services or hospitality is preferred, particularly in a restaurant or hotel setting.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette and customer interaction.
- Familiarity with food service operations and POS systems, specifically Micros POS, is advantageous.
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A friendly demeanor with a genuine desire to provide excellent customer service.
