Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to join our team in providing exceptional guest experiences. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in setting the tone for their visit. Your primary responsibility will be to greet guests warmly, manage reservations, and ensure that all guests feel welcomed and valued.
Duties
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant with a warm and friendly demeanor.
- Manage the seating chart and ensure efficient seating of guests while considering their preferences.
- Answer phone calls promptly and provide information regarding reservations, menu items, and special events with excellent phone etiquette.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized front-of-house area, including waiting areas and menus.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and servers to ensure smooth service flow.
- Handle guest inquiries or concerns professionally, providing assistance as needed to enhance their dining experience.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive atmosphere for both guests and staff.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment is preferred but not required.
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest satisfaction.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with guests and team members.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus but can be learned on the job.
- A passion for helping others and providing outstanding guest services.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
