Overview
We are seeking reliable and customer-focused Catering Staff to assist in the preparation, setup, serving, and breakdown of food and beverage services at catered events. You will ensure high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and customer service while contributing to a smooth and successful event experience.
Duties
- Set up and break down food service stations, buffets, and dining areas for events
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and friendly manner
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards during and after service
- Assist with food preparation, plating, and presentation as required
- Follow event timelines and directions
- Handle guest inquiries and respond to needs promptly and courteously
- Operate equipment such as chafing dishes, beverage dispensers, and coffee machines
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and food handling procedures
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and other team members to ensure smooth service
- Transport supplies and equipment to and from event locations, if necessary
Experience
- Prior experience in catering, hospitality, or food service preferred
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs
- Flexible schedule, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Food Handler’s Certification (an asset, but will be provided if needed)
- Class 5 Driver's License
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $17.49-$19.49 per hour
Expected hours: 80 per week
