Overview
Team Leader – Food Production (Mississauga Location)
We are currently seeking a motivated and hands-on Team Leader to join our client’s food production facility in Mississauga. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and experienced in leading teams within a fast-paced manufacturing or kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and define production capacity ahead of operations
- Monitor current inventory and coordinate product ordering
- Review customer orders and estimate production timelines by product type
- Develop and implement production schedules
- Identify bottlenecks in workflow and resolve them effectively
- Analyze past performance to estimate future output and quality
- Collaborate with the team to improve yield and efficiency
- Work with Quality Assurance to address and resolve client complaints
- Identify and support staff training needs
- Maintain accurate documentation of daily production activities
- Organize and lead meetings with staff and management
- Promote and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient working environment
- Uphold and enforce workplace health and safety standards
- Follow and ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and inspection regulations
- Ensure consistent quality control and smooth operations
- Lead by example and foster a positive team culture
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role, preferably in food production or a related field
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable performing physically demanding tasks, including heavy lifting
- Willingness to work in hot and cold environments
- Ability to work with hot oils and operate frying equipment
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and food safety regulations
- Responsible, energetic, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced setting
- Committed to maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene at all time

Pay: From $17.20 per hour

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
