Apex Educational Consulting Services Inc. is seeking educators to join our team and provide personalized academic support to students of varying ages and skill levels. As a Tutor, you will play a crucial role in helping students achieve their educational goals by fostering a positive learning environment and adapting your teaching methods to meet individual needs. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in boosting confidence, enhancing understanding, and promoting a love of learning in our students.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assessing students' current academic level target subjects and preparing individualized lesson plans based on the Ontario curriculum and IEP (when applicable).
· Preparing and marking weekly homework assignments.
· Maintaining an attendance sheet to keep track of student attendance.
· Monitoring and tracking student progress based on AECS standards and prepared procedures.
· Preparing students for upcoming tests and exams.
· Must be willing to travel to the students' homes
Qualifications:
· Minimum 2 years experience tutoring/teaching based on the Ontario curriculum
· Able to work independently
· Ability to speak French an asset
· Access to a vehicle is an asset
Rate:
$25.00-$50.00 per hour, depending on experience, credentials, and performance, plus bonuses.
