Vedder Excavating is growing fast—and we’re looking for an experienced operator who can jump in and get it done right.
From digging foundations to trenching services and final grading, our excavator operators are a critical part of the jobsite team. If you know your way around a machine, take pride in clean lines and safe work, and aren’t afraid to jump out and give the crew a hand when needed, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Operating excavators (5T to 30T) for residential and commercial construction • Trenching, backfilling, rough/final grading, site prep
- Supporting layout, site drainage, and foundation excavation
- Performing daily equipment checks and minor maintenance
- Coordinating with site leads and trades on a live jobsite
What We’re Looking For:
- 3+ years experience operating excavators in a construction setting
- Comfortable working around utilities, tight sites, and busy crews
- Safety-first mindset and strong spatial awareness
- Willingness to pitch in on the ground when needed
- Valid driver’s license (Class 5 minimum); Class 3 or trailer endorsement is a bonus • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work outdoors year-round
