Qualifications
- Knowledge and ability to operate varying pieces of equipment – loaders, backhoe, excavator, dozer, skid steer, roller etc.
- Knowledge of excavation, trenching, backfilling, fine and finish grading, septic and demolition would be an asset
- Minimum operation of excavation equipment– 3 years
- Must have a clean driver’s abstract
- Must follow all workplace safety procedures at all times
- Effective listening and verbal communication skills
- Mechanical aptitude
- AZ / DZ license would be an asset
Responsibilities
- Perform pre and post work inspections, while maintaining cleanliness and making sure maintenance has been completed
- Safely perform excavation on site
- Read and interpret blue prints and locates
- Follow health and safety policies and procedures
Working Conditions
- Working locations are outdoors in all weather and conditions
- Willingness and ability to travel out of town to perform work as necessary
- Flexibility to work weekends
