As a Heavy-Duty Vehicle Painter, you will be responsible for preparing, refinishing, and painting semi-trucks, trailers, and other heavy-duty vehicles. You will play a key role in restoring vehicles to pre-accident condition with a professional finish and long-lasting durability.
Key Duties:
- Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and patching as necessary.
- Mix, match, and blend paint to achieve precise color matches according to manufacturer specs.
- Apply primers, sealers, basecoats, and topcoats using spray guns and other refinishing tools.
- Ensure work areas remain clean, safe, and organized throughout the painting process.
- Inspect completed work to verify quality, finish consistency, and compliance with standards.
- Perform paint touch-ups and minor corrections as needed.
- Work collaboratively with technicians and body repair staff to meet project timelines.
- Maintain all paint equipment in proper working condition and follow shop safety protocols.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in automotive or heavy-duty vehicle painting.
- Proficiency with HVLP spray systems, color matching, and various painting techniques.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on finish quality and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Physical stamina and dexterity for repetitive tasks and working in a paint booth.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and proper handling of paint materials and chemicals.
Job Types: Full-time, Casual
Pay: $24.00-$40.00 per hour
