Weir Construction Ltd. has been in operation since 1951. We have over 70 years working within the Construction and Oilfield industries. Weir Construction Ltd is looking for a Transportation HSE Manager to join our new and innovative Sand Division in the Grande Prairie area.
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable HSE Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring a safe working environment by implementing safety protocols, conducting training sessions, and fostering a culture of safety awareness among employees. This position is essential for maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations while promoting best practices across all operations.
Duties
- Implement and maintain company safety policies, procedures and training programs.
- Develop and update manuals, safe work practices and HSE documentation
- Lead initiatives to achieve zero-accident goals and ensure regulatory compliance
- Review HSE operational/recourse needs and provide budget to management
- Support continuous and report HSE safety metrics to management
- Observe equipment and property conditions and report discrepancies
- Work proactively with regulatory agencies, customers, managers and employees
- Promote employee involvement in HSE program
Experience
- Minimum 5 years experience in OH & S management or supervisory role.
- CRSP, CRST or NCSO designation - (CTSP)
- Strong communication skills with ability to always deal with people sensitively and professionally
- Expertise in safety regulations, standards, and compliance (Federal & Provincial)
- Above average computer skills, outlook, MS Office, ELDs, Site Docs, Work Hub and Avetta, ISNetworld, Complyworks
