Opportunity to join the renowned traditional sushi bar YASU. We are looking for Head sushi chef that have experience in making nigiri sushi in a sushi bar setting in front of customers. We only serve one Omakase sushi menu at $185 per person in a high-end setting.
As a Head Sushi Chef, you will be ensuring that all food is made to the highest standard of quality and presentation. You will be providing all aspect of fish preparation and making nigiri sushi. Candidates must also be very strong in guest service and have basic conversational English to explain each dish to our customers.
Qualifications:
- At least 10 years experience in making nigiri sushi
- Experienced in making sushi in all aspects
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- A team player
- Knowledge of Japanese is an asset
- Candidates MUST have Japanese sushi knowledge.
- Ability to legally work in Canada
