Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Wo/Man to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a diverse skill set to handle various maintenance and repair tasks within our facilities. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. The Handy Man will be responsible for ensuring that all facilities are well-maintained and operational, contributing to a safe and efficient working environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repairs on buildings, equipment, and fixtures.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify issues that require attention.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Fabricate and install components as needed for repairs or improvements.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including logic controllers.
- Read and interpret schematics to assist in repairs and installations.
- Lead small projects or teams when necessary, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
- Weld metal components for repairs or fabrication projects as required.
- Communicate effectively in English with team members and management regarding maintenance issues.
Skills
- Proficiency in English for effective communication.
- Strong ability to maintain facilities through routine inspections and repairs.
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is preferred.
- Ability to fabricate components for repairs or installations.
- Demonstrated leadership skills to manage small projects or guide team members.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, including troubleshooting logic controllers.
- Experience in facilities maintenance with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Welding skills are a plus for metal fabrication tasks.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think logically under pressure.

Pay: $24.00-$27.00 per hour
