Job Overview
We’re looking for a skilled Handyman to support ongoing residential and commercial projects across Hamilton and the surrounding areas. This is contract/subcontract work with flexible, casual hours each week depending on project needs.
The ideal candidate will possess a diverse range of maintenance and repair skills, demonstrating the ability to handle various tasks efficiently and effectively. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to providing high-quality service to our clients.
Must have previous experience with:
- Hardwood/laminate flooring installation
- Tile installation
- Drywall and taping
- Painting
- Trim and doors
Duties
- Perform general maintenance and repairs in residential and commercial properties, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting tasks.
- Respond promptly to service requests and complete work in a timely manner.
- Conduct routine inspections of properties to identify issues that require attention.
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with safety regulations and standards.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, ensuring they are safe for use.
- Communicate effectively with clients regarding their needs and provide recommendations for repairs or improvements.
- Document completed work and maintain accurate records of services performed.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Handy Man or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of various maintenance techniques and methods.
- Familiarity with tools, equipment, and materials used in repair work.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Good communication skills to interact with clients professionally.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications
Job experience in construction is required (renovations and skilled trade). A vehicle and proper licensing is required. A work vehicle can be provided, if needed ***.
Tools, safety glasses and boots are also required.
