Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Halwai / Indian Sweet Maker to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and baking, with a particular focus on traditional Indian sweets. The Halwai will be responsible for creating high-quality sweets that delight our customers while adhering to food safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook various traditional Indian sweets, ensuring authenticity and quality.
- Decorate cakes and desserts with artistic flair to enhance presentation.
- Assist in food preparation tasks, including measuring ingredients and mixing batters.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, following food safety protocols.
- Package sweets for sale, ensuring proper handling and presentation.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers and taking special orders as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in the food industry, particularly in baking or sweet making.
- Strong skills in cake decorating and food preparation techniques.
- Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining quality standards.
