Job Summary:
As a Grocery Associate at Ellis Street Market, you will be responsible for stocking shelves, assisting customers with inquiries, maintaining product quality, operating the POS system, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our grocery department.
Responsibilities:
- Stock and organize products on shelves to maintain cleanliness and visual appeal.
- Assist customers with product location, information, and recommendations in a friendly manner.
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure freshness and quality of items.
- Operate the POS system accurately for transactions and handle cash securely.
- Uphold cleanliness and safety standards throughout the grocery section.
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer queries and concerns.
- Perform additional tasks as required to support smooth operations within the grocery department.
Experience:
- Previous experience in retail sales is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with customers.
- Proficiency in using POS systems and cashiering procedures.
- Ability to handle cash transactions and maintain accuracy in cash handling.
- Bilingual proficiency is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
Mostly looking for weekend coverage morning or afternoon and occasional weekday.
