Overview
We are seeking a skilled Glass Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and installation, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. As a Glass Installer, you will be responsible for the precise installation of glass products in various settings, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
Duties
- Install glass products, including windows, mirrors, and shower doors, with precision and care.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine installation requirements.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping, and fitting glass.
- Ensure all installations are plumb, level, and secure according to specifications.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals on-site to ensure seamless project execution.
- Perform drywall work as needed to prepare surfaces for glass installation.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and guidelines.
- Assist in flooring installation when required, contributing to overall project completion.
Requirements
- Proven experience in glass installation or related construction fields is preferred.
- Familiarity with construction painting, tile laying, drywall installation, and flooring installation is a plus.
- Strong ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Knowledge of welding techniques is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physical tasks associated with the job.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
